In case you're living under a rock, you know that podcasts are some of the best places to get the real deal on your favorite sports entertainers. Everyone who's anyone has one; hell, Bruce Pritchard got his latest gig off of the strength of his podcast. Former WWE ring announcer Lilian Garcia has seen some success with her "Making Their Way to the Ring" podcast, and today's guest was Sasha Banks, who opened up in a big way.
For those who were unaware, Sasha Banks got married in August of 2016 to Sarath Ton, a fellow pro wrestler who went under the ring name Kid Mikaze. He was injured at an NXT taping in 2015, and he's also a seamster/costume designer for the WWE. While this was common knowledge to those who keep up with the dirtsheets, Banks kept it on the low...until now. She opened up to Garcia on the podcast, and gave a pretty solid reason as to why she'd keep this information quiet.
"Okay, you know what?," Banks said. "Yes. I’ll tell you. You’re the first one I’ve admitted it to. I am married. I just hide it because our fans are so crazy sometimes, you know?
"I don’t know," she continued, "I just think fans are just so crazy. I see what they write to him on Twitter, and I don’t like that stuff. If you’re saying he’s ugly, or he shouldn’t be with me because of this or that, that hurts me, you know? ... I just don’t like that he gets... he reads that every day, you know what I mean? And he’s such an amazing person."
